Black Mountain is a neat town near Asheville, NC. We chose to have lunch at Peppers. Apparently some owner past or present liked Dr. Pepper. Trick question: an old Dr Pepper bottle with holes punched in the cap was used for what?

Inside: the food and service were excellent

We made the 420 drive from Kings Bay to Asheville one day before the rain. Which meant that our first day in Asheville was wet. But not to worry. We put on our rain gear and headed to Hendersonville to explore their Curb Market and wet cute town. Then we drove by Chimney Rock and up to Black Mountain another tourist town and then we made it back to Asheville to the Basilica of St Lawrence for 5 PM mass. Dinner at a downtown Irish Pub then home. Second day was devoted to Biltmore House. It took two more days of driving for the about 800 miles home from Asheville. Rain, Lightning, storms, and high winds were predicted all along out route but we only hit minimal rain and got home before 3 pm today. Will start unloading the trailer tomorrow. Meanwhile from our day in the rain in Asheville.
Eastern Continental Divide. I thought there was only the Continental Divide out west.
The view from Chimney Rock. Just kidding but it would have looked like this if we had gone up.
