Sunday, March 16th, 2008Seaside
Saturday, March 15th, 2008A long day. Took John and Nancy and their daughter Barbara down 30A to Seaside. Wandered and then had lunch at Bud and Allys. Then drove through Watercolor and got back around 4 PM. Left at 5 PM for Friday Fest, a once a month downtown Panama City Festival (old cars, food, vendors and music). Went to St Andrews for dinner at Captain’s Table and then to the Granite Cafe for Green Beer except I opted for regular and Betty had wine. Got home at 10 PM.

Monday, March 10th, 2008The upstairs of the Grill is a museum. Kind of like our basement.
Before cell phones.
Portable typewriter. It’s kind of like a laptop except all it does is type. No memory. No Calculations. No pictures. And you needed copy sets and if you made a Typo then you had to white out the typo on each copy and retype. In the military you could only make 7 mistakes (I think) per page. Any more and you had to retype the page.
Before CD’s and Ipod’s. The song “I’m looking over a four leaf clover” predated the Grateful Dead.

Sunday, March 9th, 2008Gator Lakes Golf Course
Saturday, March 8th, 2008Hulburt Field Air Force Base is home of the Air Force Special Operations Command. We played the Gator Lakes Golf Course on Base last Wednesday. Played well and scored well but were disappointed that none of the many alligators that we had seen on previous visits there were around(or at least that we could see)
Just off one of the fairways was an old burned out plane (I think a C-130) that we assumed was used for fire training.
